Naveed Saeed, a former Punjab police inspector who allegedly initiated extrajudicial killings in the province, was gunned down by his rivals in the Satukatla police precincts along with his three friends. accused of killing people for money during the time when Shahbaz Sharif was the Punjab Chief Minister.Police sources said that Inspector Naveed Saeed alias Needi Pehalwan and his men had allegedly killed more than 100 people in fake encounters, in Lahore and elsewhere in the Punjab and in Karachi. They accused him of killing many gangsters including Hanifa, Shafiq alias Baba, Hamayun Gujjar, Naji Butt, Sana Gujjar and Kali in staged encounters. His group consisted of two other inspectors, Karamat Bhatti and Malik Karamat, who staged shootouts under the command of the then SP, Omar Cheema.Backed by his department and politicians, he was so daring that he killed Hanifa and four other people in an encounter in 1998, although they had been snapped with him by press photographers outside the Lahore airport on their arrival from Dubai. It has been an open secret that the inspector was more loyal to the underworld lord, Teefi Butt, than to his department.He remained suspended from service for around two years on various charges, chiefly for amassing money, disproportionate to his known sources of income and some bank loans. Some of the cases against him have been registered with NAB and another case is pending in the Services Tribunal.Inspector Naveed, his British national wife and five children had been living in the UK since 2002, and he returned home a few months ago. He entered into the real estate business, especially in disputed properties, with his friend Waheed Butt, a resident of Faisal Town. Waheed was involved in a property dispute with the ‘Shanoo’ group. Sources claimed that Waheed had a partnership with Naveed Saeed and Babar Khan in the business, but Naveed and Butt ended the partnership with Babar Khan about three years ago. On the fateful day, Naveed, Waheed and their friends, Maqsood alias Pathanay Khan and Naseer Khan, went to the Shanoo Estate Agency on Raiwind Road. Naveed called police officials after exchanging harsh words with a contractor, Shaukat. Police officials took Shaukat to Rana Estate Agency, where some members of the Shanoo group called Naveed, resulting in another heated exchange. When Naveed and his friends were leaving the agency, Shah Baba alias Shanoo, Babar Chaudhry, Khawaja Farooq and Anjum allegedly shot at them. Naveed, Waheed, Maqsood and Naseer Khan received bullet injuries in the face. Naveed and Waheed died instantly while Maqsood and Naseer Khan were rushed to Jinnah Hospital where they expired.Some sources claimed that underworld dons Teefi Butt and Gogi Butt – Malik Ahsan, Haji Hanif, inspector Abid Boxer and Naveed Saeed were partners in the property business. They said that Abid Boxer, a member of the land mafia, had some differences with Naveed over a property dispute and was patronising Babar and others. When the contractor, Shaukat, and Naveed exchanged harsh words, Shaukat immediately contacted Babar who called Abid Boxer who assured him of protection and allegedly provided him with arms and bullets.“Naveed was settling a property dispute in Satukatla,” SP Imran Arshad told Cutting Edge by phone. “He was there in a private capacity,” he added, but denied that the inspector used the police for his personal gains. He said that the police went there after a message was radioed on emergency. “Nobody was picked up by the area police from the site,” he claimed.Naveed joined the Punjab Constabulary as a wrestler on a sports quota in 1984 and later was transferred to the Punjab police with the backing of former IG Sindh, Rana Maqbool. He enjoyed powers, at times, more than that of an SP, and was a favourite officer of many of his bosses.Sources said that Naveed’s 18 personal bodyguards were prime suspects in his killing because they were present at the spot at the time of his murder but did not fire a single shot at the assailants. None of them was injured and not a single bullet hit their vehicle, which was parked close to the place where the incident took place. However, police have denied the presence of his guards at the site. Nadeem and Naeem, younger brothers of Hanif and Shafiq, who live in the UK, tried to kill Naveed in the UK a couple of years ago. They stabbed him but he survived. Sources said that Nawaz Butt’s son was also in the UK at that time and was living with Nadeem and Naeem. They said that Nadeem and Naeem were the main suspects because they had a grudge against Naveed for killing their brothers, Hanifa and Shafiq Baba, and later their father Eid Muhammad.However, police sources said that some of the nominated suspects had contacted senior police officials and claimed that they were not involved in the murders. But the suspects were told to surrender if they were innocent and were also assured that they would not be killed in a police encounter.According to insider information, higher police authorities and the law-enforcing agencies have launched secret inquiries into the real estate businesses being run by police officers. Police officers involved in the business include DSP Amjad Qureshi, Inspectors Abid Boxer, Ashiq Marth, Ashraf Chaddhar, Tahir Gujjar, Malik Rashid, Mian Shafaqat, Ibrar Shah, Malik Mushtaq and Khalid Saeed. Police sources said Naveed’s murder also created panic among the top men of the business. They said that there were two incidents which showed the importance of Naveed during the era of Shahbaz Sharif as Chief Minister. On October 12, 1999, former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif directed the then Sindh IG, Rana Maqbool, to plan Chief of Army Staff and President, General Pervez Musharraf’s arrest. Rana Maqbool immediately called Naveed to Karachi from Lahore to plan the arrest and Saeed reached the Karachi Airport within an hour by a special plane. He was also called earlier by Rana Maqbool to interrogate Asif Ali Zardari. The Pakistan Peoples Party alleged that Naveed tried to kill Zardari when he was in the custody of the Karachi police.Some people claim that a new underworld group has been set up by friends of former student leader Atif Chaudhry. They include Babar Chaudhry, Mehboob Khan alias Buby, Naji Butt’s son, Mian Dawood’s brother Pinky and some newcomers. The members of the group arrived in the city from Narowal, Narang Mandi, Dubai and the UK. The members of the gang were also annoyed with a specific group of police officials which was led by Naveed. Several police officials have requested the authorities to provide them security in view of these reports.

. The candidate has written an essay on Cow: 'COW' He is the cow. 'The cow is a successful animal. Also he is 4 footed. And because he is female, he gives milks, [but will do so when he is got child.]. He is same like-God, sacred to Hindus and useful to man. But he has got four legs together. Two are forward and two are afterwards. His whole body can be utilized for use. More so the milk. Milk comes from 4 taps attached to his basement. [horses don't have any such attachment] What can it do? Various ghee, butter, cream, curd, why and the condensed milk and so forth. Also he is useful to cobbler, water mans and mankind generally. His motion is slow only because he is of lazy species. Also his other motion. {gober} is much useful to trees, plants as well as for making flat cakes [like Pizza], in hand, and drying in the sun. Cow is the only animal that extricates his feeding after eating. Then afterwards he chews with his teeth that are situated in the inside of the mouth. He is incessantly in the meadows in the grass. His only attacking and defending organ is the horns, specially so when he is got child. This is done by knowing his head whereby he causes the weapons to be paralleled to the ground of the earth and instantly proceed with great velocity forwards. He has got tails also, situated in the backyard, but not like similar animals. It has hairs on the other end of the other side. This is done to frighten away the flies which alight on his cohesive body here upon he gives hit with it. The palms of his feet are soft unto the touch. So the grasses head is not crushed. At night time have poses by looking down on the ground and he shouts. His eyes and nose are like his other relatives. This is the cow. Rumour is that the guy cleared the CSS & is now DC somewhere in Punjab !!!
